Perhaps some might consider howler monkeys and green iguanas more “photogenic” than insects and arachnids, but one thing that Costa Rica has a lot of is interesting looking bugs. Here are a few I saw today.

Weird yellow spotted beetle with 6″ antennae

This dragonfly chose on our patio as a good place to die (of old age?).
He was on his way out when I found him.

And of course, what would a post from here be without one of these shots…

“live, travel, adventure, bless and don’t be sorry.”
As tempting as it is to claim that we’ve been doing nothing these past few weeks, it would be more accurate to say that we’re simply not compelled to do anything here. Actually, we do quite a lot. We excercise every day, swim, read, eat good healthy food and drink… endless combinations of fruit juice and alcohol. The other day Bri saw two howler monkeys screeching at a 4-foot-long green lizard that were all up in the treetops, but no photos of that, unfortunately.
We also spend a lot of time thinking about what’s going to happen when we return home on December 4th. From living arrangements and finances to school and work, it’s a lot to think about and we’re glad to have this time to mentally prepare ourselves. Returning to the world of one week vacations and phone bills is the other side of the coin that we experienced just before leaving- life is going to get more and more complicated very soon.
But not just yet. We still have three weeks to keep it simple, and we are in no rush to change that.
